Can I choose which act will be performed for my event if I hire Sweetie Blue or the Booth Babes?
Absolutely! Whether you’re hiring Sweetie Blue as a solo performer or if you’d like to bring in The Booth Babes as a full event, you absolutely can choose which signature acts you’d like to have.
What is the format for a Booth Babe event?
The basic format for a Booth Babe Burlesque event is as follows:
Introduction done by a host or hosts.
A minimum of 3 different acts with a different performer for each act.
The host(s) will introduce each act, and a stage kitten will collect garments, props etc.
One Go Go dance with all of the performers on stage or roving amongst the audience.
One 10 – 15 minute intermission
A welcome back from hosts
3 new acts by either 3 new performers or by the performers in the first half.
A final good bye from the hosts, followed by a last Go Go dance with the performers of the second half.
What do I need to have for a burlesque event?
A suitable ‘green room’. This is a private and safe place for the performer(s) to get ready. This is non-negotiable.
A suitable sound system and / or DJ as burlesque is a dance medium that requires music. In addition there must be a way for the selected music of the performer(s) to be played on the sound system.
Adequate stage or performing area. Burlesque as a form of dance requires space to perform.
How long is a Booth Babe event?
Booth Babe Burlesque shows typically last 2 hours
This time frame can vary depending on the amount of performers and special guests at the event.
They have a 10 minute intermission half way through the show.
We can work within various time frames but the minimum for a Booth Babe Burlesque event is 3 performers with a single act each. With a quick introduction these mini shows can be as little as 30 minutes.
Who makes and sells the tickets?
The Booth Babes Burlesque will handle the making and selling of ticket sales for your venue.
We also handle promotions via social media ads and individual promotions as well as posters and flyers.
Usually these sales are kept by, and given to the performers. To have a cut of ticket sales for your venue promotion is required.
Tips given to performers are kept and divided by the performers. The venue is not entitled to the tips from a Booth Babe Burlesque event.
What is the difference between hiring Sweetie Blue and hiring the booth babes?
The Booth Babes is a Nerdlesque event produced by Sweetie Blue featuring a minimum of three different performers with at least 6 different acts and 2 gogo dances.
Booth Babe Events are full shows that come with all the fixings, hosts, stage kittens etc.
Hiring just Sweetie Blue as a solo act is usually for already existing events such as having her as a guest performer for an already existing troupe or event.
Can I film or photograph events or performances?
Absolutely!
We like to ask that you tag the performers and / or The Booth Babes or the venue in your post.
But you absolutely can film, photograph and share the performances.
What is the difference between Nerdlesque and Burlesque?
Nerdlesque is a genre of Burlesque. So while there still is the glamour and beauty of the burlesque dance medium, Nerdlesque focuses on things that are nerdy!
Sweetie Blue has been a cosplayer and nerd for many years, and as such she turns her cosplays into burlesque. Some of these acts can be glamorous, or comedic.
Ultimately Nerdlesque is made by nerds for nerds! It features anime, video games, movies, fantasy, sci-fi, etc. Basically any fandom that you’d expect to see at a comicon is appropriate for Nerdlesque!
